This is my piece submitted to Mangaka’06. Not a very good piece of work since this is my second piece of major work after my Chimera. I should have practiced more before filling in the colours. Furthermore, I added the colours before I linear it. Muahahaha…Evil me. I want to (and have to…lol) mention about my best friend, Hana-chan, who have given me much support and inspiration. Haha, does this sounds like some speech given at some award ceremony? Muahaha. Anyway, she helped give me comments and criticisms to improve the art. She even helped edit my description of the two characters. Here’s what: The two characters are 龙焰 (lóngyàn)(Dragon in blue) and凤霜 (fèngshuāng)(Phoenix in red). Both of them are Gatekeepers of Death (Yin) and Rebirth (Yang). 龙焰 is able to retrieve the souls of the dead from their bodies and keep them in her jewels on her clothes temporary until the time comes for them to be passed to 凤霜. 凤霜judges them and decides whether they will be reborn as a human. If a soul is unsuitable for reincarnation, it will be kept in凤霜's jewels. Yap, so THANKYU! HANA-CHAN! Love you always, and will always do ever since we met 7 years ago. Lol. Chu~ |

I think the theory about the souls is creative!!
although i hav my own different theory which i think that is more realistic to be true...^^|||
Also, i read ur description many times but still couldn't understand which character r u refering to!
actually i think that 凤焰 and 龙霜 identifies the two characters better
